LG announced to launch the Lifeband touch wearable with Heart
Rate Earphones which will help the user to monitor their health and fitness. LG introduced the Lifeband Touch during
January’s Consumer Electronics Show. The Heart Rate Earphones is designed to provide
real time heart monitoring that can measure the heart rate and the blood oxygen
levels. The earphones
uses the sensor to measure the blood flow by the inner ear and connect to small
medallion which is strapped to arm or attached to wristband, track the metabolic
rate and the oxygen consumption.
Medallion which connects to earphones is designed
to work as a data processing hub the send the biometric information directly to
LG Fitness app and to other app on your iPhone through Bluetooth. The earphone
offers great sound and include built-in microphone which is good for making
calls.
It also provides the accurate
heart rate data by measuring the blood flow signals in ear through the PerformTek
sensor technology and gives an excellent sound. As the unique physiology of the
ear, the user can get the correct health and fitness metrics. You can even use
the Heart Rate Earphones alone or LG Lifeband Touch. This Lifeband touch wearable has a OLED
touch screen that is used to check the answering calls or notifications and it will use the vibration that alert you
to email and text messages etc. It also has a Bluetooth connectivity 4.0, 90mAh
battery that has 5 days battery life and varying weight (from 49.9 grams to
53.1 grams) and lengths (166mm to 196mm) which is based in M, L or XL sizes. It
can track the fitness records by the help of MyFitnessPal or Runkeeper but LG
is launching its own fitness app. Lifeband Touch fitness tracking is available
in the United State from the month of May 18. The earphones
go for $180, where the Lifeband Touch is for $150.
The feature that is missing from
the Lifeband Touch is the ability to check the heart rate, but now
this issue is also solved by the new wireless earphones. It can check the blood
flow through ears all thanks to the embedded sensor and the information is
shown in the Lifeband Touch or in your phone via Bluetooth. According to LG
this new wireless earphone can measure both the heart rate and blood oxygen
level. Wait for LG Lifeband Touch and Heart Rate earphones.
